You have heard about Digital TV and why it is better. Cox Cable has a digital signal delivery system, and while it isn't pure digital it is the best available. We use individual Cox Digital Cable tuners delivering signal to a number of DVR (Digital Video Recorders) which store the signal in digital form. Previously, using VHS tapes, we had to transfer from analog to digital before we could make a DVD. The signal is stored on a hard drive at the very best quality and then excerpts are retried for each order.

TVMSI is one of the few Monitors who also adds time checks to the recorded signals. These are in the picture and show proof of broadcast date time as well as locating the excerpt making for easier client review. The DVDs include the excerpts, each preceded by a title slate which shows station, program and date time. If there are multiple stories on a DVD a menu can be used to allow going directly to one or more sections so it is not necessary to review the entire DVD to see one excerpt.

While every order will receive a DVD for archive purposes, we can also, and if need be in a real time basis, forward an email with a link to the selected excerpt. The E-Mail can be forwarded to a interested party, and with client approval, the except video itself can be downloaded. This allows for real time dissemination of a video excerpt with no requirements on the client in terms of software or hardware.
